"As for the London Philharmonic Choir, it was on excellent form, sailing confidently through some tricky writing." The Guardian
"And the LP Choir, supplemented in a final coup of staging by the dramatic entrance of the Tiffin Boys’ Choir, were virtuoso quick-change artists as they switched from peasants to roisterers, from soldiers to gnomes and sylphs, with equal focus."

"The almost 180-strong army of the London Philharmonic Choir coped marvellously with awkward leaps and sustained stratospheric passages. They responded enthusiastically to the illustrative cameos that are the naive side of this maturely reflective work, and rushed in perfect order up challenging ladders of semiquavers."
